So, this happened.

Which I thought was awesome enough to warrant a reproduction.

Threw this together yesterday afternoon and scanned at tafe today. Painting it was good practice. Now, off to do MORE practice!

I've been SUPER BUSY with tafe and haven't had much time to do any digital artwork except for this one quick thing last week.

I may take a few photos of the paintings/charcoal drawings I've been doing and upload them if there's any interest.

This one took many hours, because I just made it up as I went along. That's a bad and slow way to draw things.
You can thank my friend - your new friend - Ross for the sky's colour pallet and general cloud structure, since I tried to replicate what I saw in one of his photos (because he's a wicked photographer). I happen to think it isn't too far off. Possibly relied too heavily on gradients, though.

As soon as I drew the guy in the alleyway with a coat, I knew he needed a fedora. Like some kind of noir tron thing.

Star Wars Magazines part 5

The first post for 2011 is an all-new Star Wars Magazine! Similar to Part 4, if you're a massive Star Wars nerd you'll get a lot more enjoyment out of this than those regular people, with their regular interests. The text was once again a back-and-forth collaboration with the ever-cleverer Cousin Joel, and you can find the reference image right here. My attempts without a reference image have been disasterous in almost all cases, and no, Teagan - you wouldn't 'like them anyway'.
